GMFC Take One of The First All New 2021 Toyota HiLux Pickups
Today it was with great Pride that we greeted Mohammed Haroon, the CEO and Chairman of Greater Manchester Football Club as he arrived to collect this all new 2021 Toyota Hilux Invincible X. Becoming, as he did so, one of the very first to drive this very latest version of the legendary pickup that BBC’s Top Gear famously failed to destroy. Here he is pictured (below) with our very own Business Manager Danny. Naturally, ff you’re looking for a HiLux of your own, get in touch, as you’re unlikely to find one for car hire in Wigan, or anywhere else and certainly not anywhere near our prices!
Maybe you’ve already heard of the incredible force for good that is GMFC, if not, then you very likely soon will. This very special club, formed two years ago, started its very first season in December and is already making waves. Based in Hough End and fully backed by the FA, Greater Manchester Football Club was created for the purpose of making the beautiful game even more beautiful, by making it fully and completely accessible to people of all walks of life, all ethnicities, all faiths and all colours of the LBTQ rainbow.
Football is a game that brings people together, but we’re all aware that sometimes prejudice can rear its ugly head from time to time and GMFC has been set up for the purpose of tackling all these “isms” while they go about tackling other teams on matchdays.
This particular iteration of the Toyota Hilux has only just been released. Newly updated for 2021, you won’t see many of these on the road for many months to come. Unless, of course, you’re at GMFC games or training sessions. In which case you’ll see this one (and probably only this one) as it’s being used to transport training equipment and kit.
The inspirational story behind GMFC and the very worthy goal at the heart of their organisation makes us incredibly proud to supply this top of the range Toyota HiLux and to see the Westwood logo alongside theirs displayed so prominently.
