Pizza, Drinks And A Headache For H.R.?
At Westwood, we’re always at our best when we work as a team and the phenomenal camaraderie between all of us is what makes Westwood Motor Group such an incredible place to work.
As another year of growth, hard graft and success draws to a close, we did exactly what we did last year and nipped over to one of our favourite places – The Boars Head in Standish for a few drinks, a bit of food and to have a good laugh together as a team unwrapping our ‘Secret Santa’ gifts.
Despite having continued to expand as a company and as a team over the last twelve months, we remain one big happy family of colleagues and friends… and what do friends do when given the opportunity? Take the absolute Mickey!
The format for the gift giving, was for the first person to unwrap the gift with their name on it and then pass the gift they’d bought to the person whose name they’d drawn weeks earlier and so on. It has to be said, at the point gifts were unwrapped, the ‘Secret’ bit of Secret Santa had long since expired, with the only mystery that remained being what was actually hidden beneath the giftwrap.
Team Westwood didn’t disappoint however, and the gifts were a raucous mix of creativity, inside jokes, outright insults and even a few genuinely nice and thoughtful gestures thrown in. All taken in good humour and good spirits, with a terrific evening had by all.
The Boar’s Head put on a terrific spread of food again, this time a mouthwatering selection of thin crust pizza and garlic bread. Our very own MD, Chris Melling very kindly covered the bill for the food and drinks for the evening too. A truly generous gesture and a wonderful evening was had by all. What a terrific way to finish another year at the UK’s leading vehicle solutions company!
