Today marks the day when the first signs of the lockdown being eased start to show and we’ve certainly noticed car and van hire calls increasing this week. With more people heading back to work, we were delighted to welcome long standing customers, Jocelyn and Adam Kirkby of AJK Construction (NW) Ltd back to our head office in Wigan, accompanied by young Lennox and Quinn, as they came in to collect this brand new Ford Transit Double cab Tipper and head off back home to picturesque Cumbria where they’re based. AJK Construction are a family business providing building services from extensions to newbuilds and numerous other services in and around the Cumbria area. With the next two years worth of work already in their diary, it’s great to see a great business enjoying hard earned success and it’s a privilege to provide them with this newly improved 20 plate tipper. 
The 2020 Ford Transit Double Cab Tipper
The Ford Transit Tipper, as the name suggests is based on Ford’s all conquering Transit chassis and in this guise, is a seven seat, 130ps, 6 speed workhorse, with a lightweight alloy tipper bed to keep the weight down and allow for more passengers and payload. Being a ‘one-stop’ tipper, this isn’t an aftermarket conversion, but has been supplied complete from Ford, giving additional reassurance that everything is as it should be. With a towbar and double wheels on the back, this as a rugged, reliable machine, ready to work and a joy to drive. Here’s the Kirkby Family being introduced to their brand new double cab tipper by our very own Danny and we look forward to seeing them all next time they need to expand their fleet! 
With manufacturers starting to deliver the brand new vehicles we ordered pre-lockdown, we’re looking forward to fresh new 20 plate cars, vans, tippers and the like arriving, but with the increase in people shopping online prompting increased demand for vans, as well as increased demand for cars prompted by people wanting to travel to work without using public transport, we expect our new renal vehicles to be snapped up as soon as they arrive – indeed, many are already spoken for!
