Delivering Essential Supplies Through The Covid-19 Crisis
As the Covid-19 Crisis deepens and the reality of the situation becomes ever more apparent, the necessity of getting essential supplies where they’re needed has never been more pressing. At Westwood, we’re always delighted to get behind good causes and Wigan communities, so today it’s been our tremendous pleasure to be able to provide a pair of the very latest Renault Trafic Sport vans to John Harker of Wigan Council (pictured centre, flanked by the Veteran’s who’ll be driving them) which will now be used by the Council and the community groups they support, to deliver essential supplies and services across the Wigan and surrounding areas. Whether it’s helping the local homeless population, delivering supplies and medication to the vulnerable and self isolating, or numerous other essential community works, you’ll see these vans out and about, making a real difference locally and we’re glad to be able to remain operational to provide them and as a link in the wider supply chain. In these times of crisis, it’s essential that supply chains remain open and we’re proud to be able to continue to support businesses and key workers by continuing to provide a service which allows them access to the vehicles they need. With logistics and delivery companies ramping up their service, we’re doing our best to keep them moving in order to help them serve the shops selling vital supplies, or delivering food and medicines to the vulnerable, elderly and self isolating for the duration of the Covid-19 lockdown. While we have vehicles from our car and van hire fleet on site and ready to go, we’ll endeavour to provide the best service we can.
