Kia XCeed PHEV car hire wigan

The Kia Xceed PHEV – The Most ‘All-Roundy’ All-Rounder?

Hybrid Car Hire – The Kia Xceed. We’ve said it before and will no doubt say it again, Kia are a manufacturer that seem to do no wrong. Every new, or updated vehicle they introduce is at worst extremely competent and at best utterly sensational. We love getting them in and our car hire customers love them too. Kia’s confidence and competence sees them winning business from their rivals to the point hat some of their cars can’t be made fast enought to keep up with demand and time and time again they’re showing that the Germans aren’t the be all and end all when it comes to putting together a well engineered, high tech and pleasingly plush vehicle. When Alan Partridge proclaimed that Lexus was the Japanese Mercedes, he might have said something similar about Kia being the Korean equivalent. Frankly, we’re glad he didn’t, but if he had, he’d have been right!

So… what about the Kia Xceed PHEV then? Most of you probably know that the Ceed (or C’eed for the apostrophe fans) is Kia’s medium sized hatchback, similar in size to the Ford Focus, Mercedes A-Class and others, occupying a spot in this wildly competitive category. The Xceed is related to the Ceed, but has some extra cladding, roof rails and ground clearance, as well as being slightly longer. All combine to give the Xceed the impression that the regular Ceed has spent some time at the gym getting extra (Xtra?) buff!

The Xceed has, therefore, a bit of a look of an SUV, without going full mud-plugger. Neither completely hatchback, nor SUV, but somewhere n the middle. The PHEV version also seem to occupy a spot between conventionally fuelled and fully battery powered, giving drivers the option of petrol power, while still being able to legitimately plug in at an EV bay in order to occupy one of the better spaces in the supermarket car park while you shop and while everyone else has to keep searching for a parking space!

An Xceedingly Good Company Car?

Being a hybrid, the XCeed makes a particularly strong case as a company vehicle. Thanks to being able to be plugged into a car charger and able to travel up to 30 miles on electric power alone, the BIK (benefit in kind, or company car tax) is attractively low, but without the range anxiety of ‘full electric’. Your team aren’t going to be turning their noses up at the XCeed either.

What Kit Does The Xceed Come With?

The Xceed is a handsome car, inheriting the purposeful look of the whole Kia range as well as that ‘henchness’ courtesy of the SUV style bodykit. Beneath that sleek, yet gruff exterior, the XCeed also benefits from Kia’s habit of loading their cars up with the kind of kit that’d cost you a fortune in options from other manufacturers, but which Kia throw in as standard. That’s not to say we haven’t loaded our Kia’s further (we have, naturally), but the starting point from a spec perspective is already pretty high.

Built in satellite navigation, reverse camera, parking sensors, LED lights, heated seats, heated steering wheel, smartphone connectivity, voice control, cruise control and much, much, much more.

Get in touch today and find out how you and your business, or family could benefit from an Xceedingly good deal, that even Mr Kipling would be pleased with on a brand new Kia!
