Our Beth’s Big Birthday
Another Landmark Birthday Celebrated By Team Westwood
Today we were delighted to help the youngest member of our team celebrate a big birthday. Young Beth will shortly be marking her 18th Birthday, so we made sure that when she arrived at work this morning, the rental desk was decorated with a few ‘subtle’ and suitably tasteful little flourishes just to let her know we were celebrating with her, as well as a few gifts from the entire team.
As many of you already know, Beth’s only been with us for about a year (she couldn’t have started much younger) and has been very much a part of our front of house team learning all about the intricacies and procedures of vehicle rental and sales.
Beth was recently recognised as our employee of the month thanks to the way she’s flourishing in her role and making a genuine difference to the running of the rental operation as well as to the customers she’s taking care of.
We’ve said it before, but businesses who take on younger team members and relegate them to faxing (who still does that?) filing and photocopying, with permanent brew duty and the occasional team lunch run are missing out. Give them encouragement, training and opportunity and they’ll surprise you. Just like Beth!
