Our Secret Santa…. Westwood Christmas Party Part 2
At Westwood, we don’t do things by halves. Christmas included! Last week we had our ‘official’ Christmas party and it was spectacular, however we still had our traditional ‘Secret Santa’ to do. Rather than being an ‘in office’ activity however, our very good friend Colin Elrick of Anglo Scottish Finance treated the whole Westwood Team to a night out at the Boars Head in Standish, so we did our Secret Santa there.
The dresscode was simply “Ugly Christmas Jumpers” and Team Westwood didn’t disappoint!
Colin had also arranged some extra special treats of his own and it goes without saying that we’re exceptionally grateful to both Colin and our very own Bethan for arranging such a fabulous night.
For anyone unfamiliar with the concept of Secret Santa, everyone’s name went into a bucket, each member of the team drew a name and then bought a gift for the person they had drawn. The gifts themselves and the night that followed, would have kept the HR department of any other company occupied well into 2023, but at Westwood, we’re one big happy family, with thick skins and a broad sense of humour, jokes and risque gifts all taken as they were intended!
Just as well really, with no fewer than 3 inflateables (one bearing the face of another team member), a book on speaking proper English given to a none-English team member and a book on Electric cars for dummies given to one of the Directors (who drives an electric car) being just some of the more daring gifts!
It’s safe to say that a good night was had by all and we’re forever grateful to Colin for instigating such a great night!
