Toni Hill – Our New Accounts Manager
At Westwood we’re privileged to have a team consisting of talented and dedicated and dedicated individuals all pulling together in the same direction to take the company forwards into the future. Toni Hill our Accounts Executive has just been promoted to the role of Accounts Office Manager and it couldn’t have been more deserved!
Toni started with us in 2020 in the Accounts office and very quickly made a name for herself as well as making herself pretty much indispensible from the off. Much in the same manner as our very own Finance Director Laura, Toni came on board initially learning the basics of all aspects of the business, while also spending her evenings studying accounts principles at college. Years later, having flourished in all aspects of her role, it’s long since time to acknowledge that she’s outgrown the position of Accounts Executive and recognise her ability and competence with her new job title.
Tackling the intricacies of various accounting principles, the operation of our ledger based accounts system, credit control, P&L, Trial Balance, Year End and more, Toni takes everything in her stride and even finds time to pick up the phone on busy days.
To say that she’s ‘Excelled’, would be true, but it also reflects the sheer magic she can perform with her mastery of a spreadsheet!
We take great pride in bringing in and then bringing on talent and our Toni Hill has been a prime exemplar of why the ‘Westwood way’ of looking after our fantastic team pays dividends. No-one understands the business better than someone who lives it and loves it, so when faced with an internal gap in leadership, we didn’t recruit, we promoted and we can’t think of anyone who would have been more capable of taking on the challenge and responsibility of looking after the day to day running of the Accounts Office, the Accounts team and by extension, keeping the fiscal wheels of a company, with turnover in the tens of £Millions, well greased.
We can’t wait to see how Toni embraces her new role and what she’ll achieve with the new authority she’s been given. If it’s been anything like the success she’s achieved already, our ledgers and finances are in the safest of hands!
